摘    要:人体褪黑素是一种主要在松果体合成的激素,具有广泛的生理活性,主要包括调节生物节律,改善睡眠,以及抗氧化、免疫调节、抑制肿瘤等作用。介绍褪黑素的合成、代谢通路及其抗氧化、抗细胞凋亡等神经保护作用。阐述褪黑素的神经保护作用的临床意义。

Abstract:Human melatonin, a hormone secreted mainly by the pineal gland is one efitieal factor in the correction of biological circadian clock. Additionally, it exerts a wide variety of other biological effects including neutralizing oxidative stress damage, regulating immunity, suppressing tumor growth, and protecting central nerve system. The pathway of synthesis and metabolism, and neuron-protective effect of melatonin were introduced. The clinical significance of melatonin in neurodegenerative disease was also illuminated in this review.
