在职护理人员专业英语口语能力评估分析

摘    要:[目的]评估在职护理人员的专业英语口语能力,指导培训班的开展。[方法]采用《护理专业英语口语测试》评估广州医学院第三附属医院在职护理人员专业英语口语能力。运用SPSS软件进行统计分析。[结果]综合口语能力:只有4.2%达到一档、4.2%达到二档、2.8%达到三档、5.6%达到四档、9.9%达到五档。专业英语口语能力比较:主管护师与护士、护师有显著性差异(P〈0.01);英语无过级、过一级~三级和过四级~六级有显著性差异(P〈0.01)。[结论]在职护理人员尤其是主管护师和英语无过级的护理人员在单词重音、语调、朗读停顿、口语交际中存在着障碍,用英语表达思想的准确性、连贯性较差。培训班应根据评估后的口语能力指定学习伙伴,强化英语口语基础技能训练,创设有效的交际环境,开展多种口语课堂形式,以提高教学效果。

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate oral professional English ability of nursing staff on the job and to guide the unfolding of training courses. Methods: By adopting "Nursing spoken English test", professional English spoken ability of nursing staff on the job in the third affiliated hospital of Guangzhou medical college had been evaluated. All data were analyzed by SPSS statistical software. Results: In terms of comprehensive English spoken ability: only 4.2 percent in the first file, 4.2 percent reached in the second file, 2.8 percent reached in the third file, 5.6 percent reached in the fourth file,9.9 percent reached in the fifth file. Comparison of special English spoken ability: there were significant differences among nurse- incharge and nurse, senior nurse(P〈0.01). There were significant differences among who didn't pass the test, passed the CET - 1-CET - 3 and CET- 4-CET- 6(P〈0. 01). Conclusions : Nursing staff on the job especially nurse - in - charge and nursing staff not passed the CET have obstacles in word accent, intonation, holding in reading aloud and oral communication. Both the accuracy and the coherence of nurses on the job expressing their thinking in English are poor. Training courses should assign learning partner according to their oral com petence after evaluation, strengthen basic skills training of oral English. One should also create effective communication environment, evolve multiple spoken language class style so as to enhance teaching effect for them.
