| Abstract: | Treatment in congestive heart failure is directed at improving cardiac output and decreasing preload and afterload without significantly increasing the oxygen requirements of the heart. This paper reviews the current approach to heart failure with inotropic and vasodilator drugs in patients with heart failure. |
