| Abstract: | Objective: To discuss the relationship between type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN) and the intima-media thickness(IMT)of carotid artery.Methods: According to the comprehensive diagnosis standard of DPN,200 patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into DPN group(n=83) and non-DPN group(n= 117),and the course of the disease,clinical indexes(including fasting glucose,lipid,serum fasting insulin and C peptides,and glycolated hemoglobin) and IMT were compared.Results: The course of the disease,glycolated hemoglobin,triglycerides and IMT in the DPN group were higher than those in the non-DPN group(P<0.05).Conclusion: In type 2 diabetes,diabetic patients with combined DPN are more likely to have glucolipid metabolism disorders and sclerosis of arterial congee appearance than those with only type 2 diabetes. |
