| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the effects of atorvastatin on plasma level of interleukin-6（IL-6） and high sensitivity C-reactive protein（hs-CRP）in patients with unstable angina pectoris（UAP）.Methods The level of plasma IL-6 and hs-CRP in 60 UAP patients before and after atorvastatin oral administration for 4 weeks were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay（ELISA） and turbidmetric immuno assay.Results The level of plasma IL-6 and hs-CRP in UAP patients group were increased markedly（21.88±6.35）pg/L,（2.35±0.33）μg/L）,compared with those in the healthy subjects as control group（15.92±5.15）pg/L,（1.38±0.30）μg/L）（P0.01）.A significant decreased of plasma IL-6 and hs-CRP level were observed after taking atorvastatin for 4 weeks（P0.01）.Conclusion Atorvastatin could effectively decrease the level of plasma IL-6,hsCRP and improve the prognosis of the patients with UAP. |
