According to Professor ZHANG Farong,disease mechanism of idiopathic edema is liver stagnation and spleen encumbered,and kidney deficiency and water retention,the key factor is intermingled stasis and water,the basic treatment principle is nourishing blood and softening liver,warming kidney and activating spleen,and resolving stasis and draining water should be followed throughout treatment. Danggui Shaoyao powder and Jisheng Shenqi pill were usually applied for the treatment with remarkable curative effect.
