| Abstract: | Two new decalin derivatives, eujavanoic acids A (1) and B (2), were isolated from Eupenicillium javanicum, along with several compactin derivatives. The structures of 1 and 2 were determined by spectroscopic methods and modified Mosher's method. The side chain (2-methylbutanoyloxy) and acid functionalities of compactin derivatives were necessary to show the antifungal activity. |
