| Abstract: | After completion of the human genome project, health professionals and the public become more aware about the role of genetic information in medical practice. We are in a transition period to enter a new "genomic medicine" era[1,2]. In the past two decades, many mutations at disease causing genes have been identified and correlated to clinical phenotypes. Molecular diagnostic tests for such mutations have been developed and shown their profound impacts on clinical medicine and public health. |
