The impact of mobile information technology application in intravenous medication administration in outpatient settings

Objectives： To explore the impact of mobile information technology application in intravenous medication administration in outpatient settings. Methods： through comparing the routine intravenous medication administration procedure and technology facilitated intravenous medication administration procedure, to understand the advantages of technology in facilitating intravenous medication administration procedure. Results： The application of technology in facilitating intravenous medication administration procedure helped to minimize the risk factors in patients＇ safety and improved nurses＇ efficiency in medication administration. Conclusion： mobile information technology application in intravenous medication administration procedures improved patient＇s safety, it should be suggested as the leading trend of information technology construction in hospital settings.
