Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of altitude on the military operation ability of PAP officers and soldiers. Methods According to measurement and evaluation of soldiers (the national military standard GJB1337 ), the officers and soldiers at an altitude of about 50 meters on the plain and 3100 meters, 3650 meters and 4050 meters on the plateau were selected to perform step exercise with a step speed of 22.5 times / min and 30 times / min. The resting heart rate and step exercise heart rate were measured by polar V800 heart rate meter, and the PWC170, VO2 max, and step index of the officers and soldiers were determined. Results With the increase of altitude, the aerobic capacity of officers and soldiers gradually decreased. The results of PWC170[(1276.9±229.6) kg·M/min] on plain garrison were significantly higher than those in 3100 m [(994.0±230.1) kg·M/min], 3650 m[(962.4±226.7) kg·m/min] and 4050 m [(759.2±154.1) kg·M/min] (P<0.05). Among officers and soldiers on high altitude garrison, the results of PWC170 at 4050 m were significantly lower than those at 3100 m and 3650 m (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in PWC170 between the altitude of 3100 m and 3650m. The resting heart rate of officers and soldiers stationed on the plain was significantly lower than that at high altitude areas (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference among the above three altitudes of the plateau. In the step exercise experiment, the exercise heart rate on the plain was significantly lower than that at the high-altitude area (P<0.05), and the exercise heart rate of officers and soldiers at 4050 m was significantly higher than that at 3100 m and 3650 m. The results of maximum oxygen uptake and step index showed that the higher the altitude, the lower the results, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). Conclusions With the increase of altitude, the military operation ability of PAP officers and soldiers gradually decreases.
