Experiences of Yang Jin -dou in the Treatment of Superior Gluteal Nerve Injury with Qian An Li Jin Manipulation

Qian An Li Jin manipulation became the characteristic method in the treatment of superior gluteal nerve injury summarized by his years clinical work. This manipulation was characterized as simple op- eration, strong specificity, significant efficacy, absent adverse reaction and easy compliance by patients. The manipulation implied Yang＇s idea as relaxing tendon, stopping pain and reduction in the treatment of tendon injury. The principle of treatment was to remove the obstruction by relaxation and reduction. The stable, accu- rate and skillful manipulation was required. The paper introduced systematically the correct method, charac- teristics, skills and precautions in operation. Additionally, the analysis on the operation mechanism was ex- plained in detail in association with clinical cases and practice.
