| Abstract: | The authors report their data on 344 cases of small-cell lung cancer treated according to indications with combined chemoradiotherapy and in selected cases with surgical intervention. In patients with limited disease, the results of pharmacologic therapy significantly improve the prognosis only in association with surgery. The role of surgery has been reappraised in the treatment of small-cell lung cancer which appears, nowadays, multidisciplinary. |
