Abstract:Nocturnal enuresis is a common childhood condition. The overwhelming majority of cases are due to maturational issues and normal variations in bladder size. The most effective treatments are behavioral. Medications have a role as adjunctive or temporary intervention. Families may need help understanding and approaching this problem in a manner that is not punitive and helps the child to achieve competency and to master control over urination.
