Abstract:Objective To study the effects of Huatuo reconstruction pill(HTRP) on prevention of in vitro and in vivo thrombosis and in improving microcirculation disorders in experimental animals. Methods A chandeler loop system, electric current stimulus, and intravenous injection of high molecular weight dextran into rabbits were used to creat in vitro thrombosis, in vivo thrombosis and microcirculatory disturbance, respectively. Results HTRP inhibited in vitro thrombosis, delayed thrombosis formation in neck artery and effetively decreased blood viscosity, platelet adhesion rate and aggregation rate. HTRP also improved brain ischemia and hypoxia, and improved the microcirculation disturbances. Conclusion HTRP can prevent cerebral thrombosis and improve microcirculation disturbance induced by high molecular weight dextran. The results suggest that HTRP is an effective antianginal medicine.
Keywords:Huatuo reconstruction pill Thrombosis Cerebral thrombosis Hemorrheology Disturbance microcirculation
