Pholidota chinensis Lindl.having rich chemical constituents,is a kind of traditional herb with a long history in China.Recently,research show that the extraction of Pholidota chinensis Lindl.exhibit multiple pharmacological activities,such as anaesthesia,relieve pain,resist fatigue,hypoxia-resistance,antitumor,antioxygenation.For its significant pharmacodynamic activity and relatively minor toxic side effects,Pholidota chinensis Lindl.has been attracting the attention of researchers all over the world.This paper reviews the research on the chemical constituents and pharmacological activity of Pholidota chinensis Lindl.,which will provide information for further rational exploitation of Pholidota chinensis Lindl.and developing new drugs.
