| Abstract: | Chemical examination ofBetula platyphylla var. latifolia afforded a novel diarylheptanoid named betulatetraol, together with a phenylpropanoid (3,4′-dihydroxypropiophenone), flavan-3-ol [(+)-catechin] and its glycosides [(+)-catechin 5-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, (+)-catechin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside] and two proanthocyanidins (procyanidins B-1 and B-3). |
