气管内插管延长置管时间治疗呼吸衰竭

本文报导了26例呼吸衰竭病人经鼻气管内硅胶插管维持呼吸，最长达50天，拔管后无严重的呼吸道并发症。作者认为，在新型高分子医用材料应用于临床后，可以延长气管内置管时间。

The Prolonging Duration of Trachea Intubation in Treatment of Respiratory Failure

This article reports the resule of the treatment using trachea intubation through the nose in 26 patients with respiratory failure. The longest time ventilated by the catheter was 50 days. The catheters were made of silica gel. No important complication of respiratory tract was found after removing the catheter in this series. The authors believe that time of the tube remaing in the trachea can be prolonged since use of the high-polymerd compound in clinical practice.
