Findings of Spinal tuberculosis in low field MRI and differential diagnosis

Objective To systemically evaluate the MR Findings of spinal tuberculosis and its diagnosis.Methods MR imaging data in 46 cases including spinal tuberculosis,pyogenic spondylitis,Brucella spondylitis,I endplate,With Clinically proven between January 2018 and December 2019 were Retrospectively analysed,then evaluate the MR imaging features of tuberculosis and its diagnosis.Results(1)27 cases of spinal tuberculosis,1 cases of cervical,thoracic in 6 cases,4 cases of thoracolumbar,lumbar vertebrae in 10 cases,4 cases of lumbosacral vertebrae,2 cases of sacral vertebrae.Dual vertebrae were involved in 20 cases,and multiple vertebrae in 10 cases.(2)vertebral body signal change are mainly five types.①vertebral body lesions without morphology change near for the performance of the vertebral body uniform flake T1WI low,T2WI higher signal shadow,edge blur.②Lesions are three layer signal structure.③Around the lesion even lamellar T1WI,T2WI low,low or high T1WI,T2WI medium signal structure.④Around the lesion even lamellar T1WI low,T2WI high signal shadow.⑤Lesions vertebral body simple failure stove,around for normal medulla bone signal.(3)Intervertebral discs were destructed in 24 cases,which exhibited the same signal like the involved vertebra.(4)Cold abscess was noted in 20 cases,representing unhomogeneous signal on precontrast T1-or T2-weighted images and heterogeneous rim-like or septal enhancement on contrast T1-weighted image.(5)Compression and displacement of the thecal sac and spinal cord were observed in 12 cases.Conclusion MRI play an important role in declination of spinal tuberculosis,which may provide more clues for the diagnosis.
