Application of V-Y advancement flap in repairing finger tip defect

Objective To investigate the application of V-Y advancement flap in the repair of fingertip defects.Methods A total of 150 patients with fingertip defects from January 2017 to November 2019 were selected,and the fingertip defects were repaired by V-Y advancement flap repair.Observed the patients for postoperative complications,surgical effects,postoperative effects,and pain.Results All patients had no complications after operation.After 3 months of follow-up,the results of functional evaluation were:108 cases were excellent,29 cases were good,13 cases were poor;most patients can use the fingers naturally,and the finger holders had good stability.The feeling of the flap is well restored.The touch and temperature of the flap were almost the same as the surrounding skin.The texture of the flap was good.The flap had function of sweating.The flap was sensitive to pain.The appearance of the flap was similar to that of the healthy fingers.The surrounding skin color was almost the same;the pain level of the patients at 15 days after surgery was significantly lower than that before surgery.Conclusion V-Y advancement flap repair method is used in the repair of fingertip defects.The surgical effect is significant.The postoperative finger joints and sensory functions are close to normal.The shape of the fingertip skin is almost the same as that of the surrounding normal tissue.It is simple,suitable for repairing fingertip defects,and has high application value.
