Abstract:Objective: To study the relation between the ratio of triglyceride/high density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) and coronary artery lesion in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods: 466 cases underwent coronary angiogra-phy were divided single vessel lesion>double vessel lesions and triple vessel lesions group, and the relation between TG/HDL - C ratio and coronary lesions was analysed. Results: There were significant differences in the values of TG, TC/ HDL -C among this three groups (P < 0.01) . Linear regression analysis revealed that the severity of coronary artery lesions significantly correlates with TG/ HDL- C ratio (r= 0.78) than TG.plasma cholesterol/high density lipoprotein cholesterol (TC/HDL- C) and lower density lipoprotein cholesterol/ high density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL - C/ HDL - C) . Conclusion: TG/ HDL - C ratio significantly correlates with the coronary artery lesions.
Keywords:lipid abnormality  acute coronary syndrome  triglyceride
