老年人睡眠呼吸暂停综合征的特点

目的 :探讨老年人睡眠呼吸暂停综合征 (SAS)的临床特点。方法 :用多导睡眠监测系统对可疑SAS的 4 2例男性进行 7h多导睡眠图检查。结果 :老年组与中青年组SAS比较 :体重指数、颈围的差异无显著性 ,呼吸暂停低通气指数、微觉醒指数老年组较低 ,最低SaO2 老年组较高 ,两组间差异有显著性 (P <0 .0 5 )。年龄与呼吸暂停低通气指数呈负相关 (r =- 0 .32 9,P <0 .0 5 ) ,体重指数、颈围与呼吸紊乱指数呈正相关 (r分别为 0 32 6和 0 30 6 ,P <0 .0 5 )。结论 :排除体重指数、颈围的影响 ,老年人SAS严重程度较中青年组轻

Characteristics of the sleep apnea syndrome in the aged

Objective To study the characteristics of the sleep apnea syndrome in the aged. Methods Forty two males who were suspicious of the sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) were detected with 7 hour polysomnography (PSG). Results The body mass index (BMI) and neck circumference showed no significant difference in the aged and middle aged groups. The apnea/hypopnea index (AHI) and microarousal index (MAI) were significantly lower, and the minimum oxygen saturation (SaO 2) significantly higher in the aged than those in the middle aged (P<0.05). Age was negatively correlated to AHI (r=-0.329,P<0.05). The BMI and neck circumference were positively correlated to AHI (r=0.326,P<0.05;r=0.306,P<0.05, respectively). Conclusion SAS patients are less severe in the aged excluding the affection of the BMI and neck circumference.
