Climacteric depression is a common mental disorder,which is more common in women.Professor TANG Qi-sheng has rich experience in the treatment of mental and emotional diseases.He considers that climacteric depression is syndrome of deficiency Ben and excessive biao,kidney deficiency is the basis of the disease,deficiency of kidney essence is the root cause;Liver depression,the stagnation of Qi lead to the stagnation of blood,sputum and fire.He analyzed the syndrome principles by dataming,and found“Kidney essence deficiency and liver Qi stagnation”is the most frequent syndrome of climacteric depression.He used the method of tonifying kidney and smoothing Qi,herb of Yinao Jieyu,to treat the disease,and it is effective.
