| Abstract: | The results of transvaginal ultrasound diagnostic assessment of endometrium were compared with histopathological examination of endometrium by following diagnostic abrasion on examined group of 54 postmenopausal women. The method seems to be useful for diagnosis of postmenopausal metrorrhagia, when the "safe" thickness of endometrium layer is taken as 5 mm. It occurs in effect of our study the transvaginal ultrasound examination may decrease the number of subsequent diagnostic abrasions in those cases. |
