Effect of Individualized Guidance Based on Case Management on Respiratory Function Recovery and Exercise Tolerance in Lung Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy

Objective:To explore the effect of individualized guidance based on case management on respiratory function recovery and exercise tolerance in lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.Methods:A total of 40 lung cancer patients who received chemotherapy during January 1 to September 30,2019 were enrolled as the control group,the control group was given routine nursing.And 41 lung cancer patients admitted during October 1,2019 to June 30,2020 were set as the control group,while the observation group received individualized guidance based on case management.Comparison was made between the two groups on mental health status by Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),respiratory function indexes including diffusing capacity of lung for carbon monoxide/alveolar volume(DLCO/VA),vital capacity(VC),forced expiatory volume in one second(FEV₁),forced vital capacity(FVC),and maximum voluntary ventilation(MVV)].The 6 min walking distance and quality of life scale(WHOQOL-100).Results:After intervention,the SAS scores and SDS scores in the two groups lower than those before intervention(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than the those in the control group(P<0.01).The DLCO/VA,VC,FEV₁/FVC%and MVV were higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.01).The 6 min walking distance and total WHOQOL-100 scores in the two groups were better than those before intervention(P<0.01).And better in the observation group than the those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:Application of case management-based individualized guidance in lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy can not only effectively alleviate anxiety and depression of patients,but also promote respiratory function recovery,and improve their exercise tolerance and quality of life.
