Study on posterior circulation ischemic vertigo treated with Wuchong Tongluo capsule

Objective:To observe the effects of Wuchong Tongluo capsule on the levels of N-carboxymethyl lysine(CML)and oxidized low density lipoprotein(ox-LDL)in patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo(phlegm stasis type)after treatment.Methods:A total of 120 cases of patients with PCI vertigo admitted as the object and divided by random number method into the control group(n=60)and the observation group(n=60).The control group was treated with betastatin mesylate and the observation group was treated with Wuchong Tongluo capsule.Clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome scores,DHI-S and DARS scores,serum CML and ox-LDL levels,bilateral vertebral artery(VA)and basilar artery(BA),whole blood high tangential viscosity(HBV),whole blood low tangential viscosity(LBV),plasma viscosity(PRV),fibrinogen(FIB),and incidence of adverse reactions.Results:The effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(93.33%vs 75.00%)(P<0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome score,DHI-s and DARS scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,serum levels of CML and ox-LDL in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the VA,BA and Vm in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,HBV,LBV,PRV and FIB levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Wuchong Tongluo capsule is effective in the treatment of PCI induced vertigo(phlegm stasis type).It can improve clinical symptoms,reduce serum CML and ox-LDL levels,improve hemorheology and blood flow velocity,and is safe.
