Relationship Between CTCs and Clinicopathological Features and Postoperative Recurrence of Colorectal Cancer

Objective To investigate the relationship between the detection level of circulating tumor cells(CTCs)and clinicopathological features and prognosis in patients with colorectal cancer.Methods The peripheral blood of 40 patients with colorectal cancer and 36 patients with benign diseases were collected from March 1st,2017 to June 30th,2019.CTCs were detected by fish.The detection level of CTCS and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)were compared between the two groups The relationship between tumor differentiation,TNM stage(T is primary tumor,N is lymph node,M is distant metastasis),tumor differentiation and vascular tumor thrombus was analyzed statistically.Results(1)The positive rate of CTCS was 62.5%in colorectal cancer group and 5.6%in benign tumor control group(P<0.05).(2)The positive rate of CTCS in colorectal cancer group was higher than that in CEA group(P<0.05).(3)The risk of postoperative recurrence in CTCs negative group was lower than that in CTCs positive group(P<0.05).(4)The positive rate of vascular cancer thrombus in patients with positive CTCs before operation was higher than that in patients with negative CTCs(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression of CTCS in malignant tumors is higher than that in benign tumors,which has great guiding significance for the diagnosis of malignant tumors.The sensitivity of CTCS is higher than that of CEA.The combination of CTCS and CEA can improve the detection rate of colorectal cancer.CTCs positive colorectal cancer patients have higher incidence of vascular tumor thrombus and higher risk of recurrence,which can be used as an important indicator of prognosis of colorectal cancer.
