SWOT analysis and strategy of nursing management of a general private hospital in the initial stage of establishment

SWOT method was used to analyze the nursing care system of a large general private hospital in the initial stage of establishment. The nursing management of private hospitals had its unique advantages and great disadvantages at the same time. There were full of opportunities and also had threats from different aspects in the current situation of the medical and health service reform and medical model transformation. As nursing managers of a private hospital,they should p~perly recognize the strengths, weaknesses,opportunities and threats,and try to achieve advantages and overcome weaknesses, grasp opportunities and defuse threats, so as to ensure that the nursing systems of private hospitals could keep up with the development of hospital and maintain its own competitive advantages in the fierce health care market competition.
