Clinical effect of Shiyaocai Jiangtang decoction in the treatment of impaired glucose tolerance and type 2 diabetes mellitus with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Shiyaocai Jiangtang decoction in the treatment of impaired glucose tolerance and type 2 diabetes with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome.Methods From January 2019 to June 2019,60 patients with impaired glucose tolerance(5 cases)and type 2 diabetes mellitus with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome(55 cases)admitted in Shaanxi traditional Chinese medicine hospital were selected as the research objects and treated with Shiyaocai Jiangtang decoction.The clinical efficacy was observed,the TCM syndrome score,blood glucose indexes,blood lipid indexes and insulin function indexes were compared before and after treatment,and the drug safety was evaluated.Results The total effective rate of clinical treatment of patients was 91.67%.After treatment,TCM syndrome score,HbA1 c,HOMA-IR of patients were lower than those before treatment,HDL-C level was higher than that before treatment,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there were no significant differences in the levels of FBG,2 h PG,CHO,TG,LDL-C,FINS of patients before and after treatment(P>0.05).No serious adverse reactions occurred during the treatment.Conclusion Shiyaocai Jiangtang decoction can play an auxiliary hypoglycemic role in patients with impaired glucose tolerance and type 2 diabetes mellitus,and can improve the clinical symptoms,HbA1 c,HDL-C level and HOMA-IR of patients.
