Effect of azacytidine combined with CAG regimen in the treatment of elderly patients with acute myeloid leukemia

Objective To explore the effect of azacytidine combined with CAG regimen in the treatment of elderly patients with acute myeloid leukemia(AML).Methods A total of 66 elderly patients with AML admitted in our hospital from November 2015 to July 2018 were selected as the research objects and divided into control group and observation group according to the time sequence of hospitalization,with 33 cases in each group.The control group was treated with CAG regimen,and the observation group was treated with azacytidine combined with CAG regimen.The clinical efficacy,cellular immune function,adverse reactions and quality of life of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 78.79%,which was significantly higher than 54.55%in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,CD3⁺,CD4⁺and CD4⁺/CD8⁺of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05);but there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidence of gradeⅢ-Ⅳhematological adverse reactions and total infection rate between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the KPS scores of the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment,and that of the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Azacytidine combined with CAG regimen in the treatment of elderly patients with AML can improve the clinical effect and quality of life,and has high safety.
