Promoting refined hospital management using operation data

Many hospitals have adopted modern hospital management concepts during their development.The authors analyze the operation data of their hospital to obtain the comprehensive knowledge of the operation in the hospital and departments,so as to promote the refined hospital management.In addition,by establishing an operational quality control department and developing an information-based data monitoring system,the operation assistants performed operation data analysis at both hospital and department levels,which enabled the evaluation of resources such as manpower,equipment,and space and the process management.In the Department of Respiratory Medicine,for instance,the department's revenue,balance,and profit/loss ratio increased in 2019 compared with the same period in 2018 after the refined hospital management was applied in the hospital.Therefore,detailed analysis of the operation data and identification of existing problems can enable hospital managers to make appropriate decisions,which in turn can rationalize the allocation of hospital resources and realize the refined operational management of the hospital.
