Clinical effect and safety of doxycycline combined with Q-switched pulsed laser in the treatment of mild and moderate rosacea

Objective To explore the clinical effect and safety of doxycycline combined with Q-switched pulsed laser in the treatment of mild and moderate rosacea.Methods 150 cases of mild and moderate rosacea patients in our hospital from May 2018 to may 2020 were selected as the research objects,and were randomly divided into observation group(75 cases)and control group(75 cases).The control group was treated with doxycycline,and the observation group was treated with doxycycline combined with Q-switched pulsed laser.The clinical efficacy,clinical symptom relief and safety of the two groups were compared.Results The effective rate of the observation group was 96%,which was significantly higher than 77.33%of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the inflammatory injury count,erythema and telangiectasia score of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the overall investigator score(IGA)of the observation group was better than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was5.33%,which was significantly lower than 17.33%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Doxycycline combined with Q-switched pulsed laser in the treatment of mild to moderate rosacea can not only significantly improve the treatment effect,but also reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.Its safety is higher and its clinical value is significant.
