Application of Multimodal MR Imaging in Preoperative TN Staging of Rectal

[Objective]To investigate the application of multimodal MR imaging in preoperative TN staging of rectal cancer.[Method]We selected 81 patients with rectal cancer admitted in our hospital from August 2016 to January 2020 who were diagnosed by colonoscopy and pathology.Preoperative multimodal MR imaging was performed,including thin-layer MRI plain scan+enhanced diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)examination.The gold standard is the result of operation and pathology.Preoperative MRI TN staging was compared with postoperative pathological results.[Result]Among the 81 patients with rectal cancer,the overall accuracy of multimodal MRI T staging was 86.42%(70/81),which was highly consistent with the consistency test of pathological staging.The rate of metastatic lymph nodes was 81.5%(66/81),showing good consistency.[Conclusion]The application of multi-mode MR imaging in preoperative TN staging of rectal cancer is very helpful to improve the accuracy of staging diagnosis,help clinical decision-making and improve the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment.
