The application of SHEL model in the safety management of in-patient inspection

Objective:to analyze the application effect of SHEL analysis in the safety management of in-patients’out-patient examination.Methods:Analysis between January 2018 and December 2018 in our hospital inpatients nursing adverse events occurred in the process of check out,analysis of the causes of adverse events and discussed the SHEL analysis method,put forward rectification measures,SHEL analysis before the implementation of random selection in the second half of 2019,internal medicine,surgery,gynecology,paediatrics,emergency treatment,ICU,orthopedic,a total of 140 cases as control group,20 patients SHEL analysis after implementing randomly selected in the first half of 2020 internal medicine,surgery,gynecology,paediatrics,emergency room,ICU,a total of 140 cases of orthopedic 20 patients as experimental group,To compare the incidence of nursing adverse events such as falling,falling off the bed and extubation in inpatients during outside examination before and after implementation of SHEL.Results:the incidence of nursing adverse events such as falls,falling into bed,and extubation decreased from 17.86%,6.43%,and 11.43%before the implementation of SHEL to 2.86%,1.43%,and 0.71%after the implementation of SHEL(P<0.05).Conclusion:through the SHEL management model,the risk analysis and management of the in-patients during the out-patient inspection can improve the risk prevention awareness of the in-patient and the medical staff,reduce the incidence of nursing adverse events during the out-patient inspection,and ensure the safety of the patients.
