Application of Accurate Recruitment Method in Recruitment of Apheresis Platelets Donors

Objective Investigating the application and effect of the accurate recruitment method for voluntary unpaid blood donors of apheresis platelets.Methods Starting form 2019,the accurate recruitment method has been applied in this site to recruit blood donords of apheresis platelets,and the data of 2019 were analyzed and compared with those of 2017 and 2018.Results In the whole year of 2019,there are 219 people,643 times and 1145 U platelets donated,all significantly higher than those of 2017(107 people,332 times,560 U)and those of 2018(161 people,371 times,615 U).Population structure:In 2019,there are 88 newly increased apheresis plateles donors accounting for 40.2%of the annual total number of apheresis plateles donors,significantly higher than those of 2017(15 people,14.0%)and those of 2018(24 people,14.9%).The proportion of single donation and whole blood donation:In 2019,single donation accounted for 8.4%of total blood donation,significantly higher than that of 2017(4.2%)and that of 2018(5.0%).Age distribution structure(time):In 2019,the composition ratio of 18~30 years old and 31~40 years old were 17.0%and 30.2%,respectively,significantly higher than those of 2017(8.4%,14.8%)and those of 2018(11.6%,20.8%).The composition ratio of 51~60 years old was 22.5%,lower than that of 2017(40.4%)and that of 2018(36.9%).Chi-square test results show a statistical difference in the age group composition of blood donors(time)over the 3 years(χ²=68.221,P<0.001).Annual donation frequency and annual blood donation volume:there are statistical differences in the annual donation frequency(H=8.622,P=0.013)and annual blood donation volume(H=11.627,P=0.003)of the blood donors over three years.Conclusion The application of the accurate recruitment of blood donors from apheresis platelets is conducive to the development of new blood sources and the guarantee of clinical platelet supply.
