Analysis of the efficacy of Photodynamic therapy on keloid

Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of ALA-Photodynamic therapy on keloid.Methods 96 cases of outpatients with keloids were divided into treatment group(n=49)and controlled group(n=47).Patients in the treatment group received ALA-Photodynamic therapy,and the Patients in the controlled group received the treatment of compound betamethasone intradermal injection.After the treatment,the Patients were followed at the 1 st,3 rd,6 th months.Evaluating the curative effect and observing the adverse reactions after the treatment.Results After treatment,the scar thickness and the score of VSS in both two groups were decreased,there was significant difference within each group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference of the curative effect between the two groups(P>0.05)after the 1 st month,but there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05)after the 3 rd and the 6 th month There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).The rate of recurrence in the treatment group is lower than in the controlled group,there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusions ALA-Photodynamic therapy in the treatment of keloid is safety and effective,the recurrence rate is low.
