ORN role in an office based ASC.

This article outlines the role of an ophthalmic registered nurse (ORN) in an office based ambulatory surgical center (ASC). Advantages of this concept to both nurse and client will be outlined. In an office based ambulatory surgery center the opportunity exists for the professional nurse to follow the client throughout the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases of the surgical procedure.
