Application and curative effect of health management program based on ICF design in convalescent stage of stroke

Objective: To explore the effects of the health management program designed under the core elements of stroke based on International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) on the functional improvement of stroke inpatients in convalescent period. Methods: A total of 40 patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. Both groups were given routine treatment, and the experimental group received health management program after treatment additionally. The two groups were assessed with cognitive function, motor function, participation level before and 5 weeks after treatment. Results: After 5 weeks of intervention, the improvement of cognitive function score, motor function score, and the improvement of motor dysfunction were significantly better in the experimental group than those in the control group (P<0.01). After treatment, the ICF activity and participation scores were significantly lower, the improvement of the activity and participation ability was significantly better, and the improvement degree of obstacles of activity and participation ability was better in the experimental group than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: The design of health management strategies and the use of mini program can effectively improve cognitive function, motor function, activities of daily living and participation level in patients with stroke.
