Abstract: | Prognosis of cancer of the uterine cervix is determined mainly by clinical stage, histological type and degree of invasion or metastasis. Clinical stage is highly correlated with the prognosis of cancer. With regard to histological type, prognosis of adenocarcinoma is poorer than that of squamous cell carcinoma. The depth of invasion of the tumor and metastasis to the lymph node are also poor prognostic factors. |
