Abstract: | Fibronectin plays a number of important roles in the extracellular matrix (ECM) including providing structural support and signaling cues for cell survival, migration, differentiation, gene expression, growth factor signaling, and cell contractility. In this review, we examine recent findings about the biological and structural properties of fibronectin and discuss how these properties could contribute to the regulation of aqueous humor (AH) outflow in the trabecular meshwork (TM). |
