| Abstract: | The Chinese medicine Jiaogulan(Gynostemma pentaphyllum)can regulate blood lipid metabolism,inhibit de novo synthesis and oxidative decomposition of fat,improve obesity and insulin resistance,anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidation stress.It has the advantages of multi-target treatment of Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).The main active components of Jiaogulan(Gynostemma pentaphyllum),such as saponins,polysaccharides,and flavonoids may be related to the improvement of NAFLD by their individual actions or interactions.However,the existing studies only start from a single mechanism of action,and lack the overall effect of Jiaogulan(Gynostemma pentaphyllum)in the treatment of NAFLD and evaluation of multi-target mechanisms.Therefore,in the future,it is necessary to strengthen the research based on the overall regulation and multi-target characteristics of Chinese medicine,deeply explore the overall therapeutic effect and mechanism,and further explore the extraction of the effective components of Chinese medicine and the interaction network between the components. |
