摘    要:目的观察迷走神经刺激(Vagus Nerve Stimulation,VNS)对大鼠丘脑网状核(thalamic reticular nucleus,TRN)神经元自发放电的影响,探讨迷走神经刺激抗癫痫的机制。方法采用玻璃微电极细胞外记录的方法,观察VNS对大鼠TRN神经元自发放电频率的影响。结果迷走神经刺激后,TRN神经元放电频率与刺激前比较明显降低(P<0.01)。结论本实验结果提示VNS可能通过抑制TRN神经元的放电,降低大脑皮层的兴奋性,从而抑制癫痫的形成及发展。

Abstract:Objective This paper has investigated the effect of vagus nerve stimulation on firing activities of thalamic reticular nucleus(TRN) neurons in rats. Methods Extracelluar recording was used to observe the changes of the firing rates and patterns of TRN to VNS. Results After vagus nerve was stimulated,the firing sates of most TRN neurons reduced obviously(p<0.1). Conclusions VNS may reduce the excitability of cerebral cortices by inhibiting the firing rates of TRN so as to inhibit the formation and development of seizures.
