Growth pattern in children with congenital heart disease

Summary Growth study of 25 acyanotic children with left-to-right shunt and 5 cyanotic children with right-to-left shunt (tetralogy of Fallot) is reported. Data were collected at the time of operation and on followup 4 1/2–12 months later. No significant differences in the two measurements were seen. Weight was more impaired at the time of operation than height. The literature is reviewed.
