The clinical value of HbA1c level in the patients with CHD and abnormal glucose metabolism

Objective： To investigate the correlation between the level of glycosylated hemoglobinA1c（HbA1c） and the extent of coronary lesions in the patients with coronary heart disease（CHD） and different situations of glucose metabolism.Methods： To select 151 patients in our hospital from 2009 to 2010 and divide them into four groups,ⅠCHD and T2DM group（52 patients）,Ⅱ Impaired glucose regulation（IGT or IFG） with CHD group（45 patients）Ⅲ CHD group（54 patients）,HbA1c,C-reactive protein（CRP）,TG,high density lipoprotein（HDL-C）,low density lipoprotein（LDL-C）,body mass index（BMI） and blood pressure were measured in all the patients.Results： First,There are significant differences in HbA1c,LDL-C,HDL-C and CRP among the 3 groups（P0.05）.Second,Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ group＇s comparison show that in the patients with abnormal glucose metabolism,their coronary lesions increased with the increase of HbA1c levels（P0.05）.Conclusion： HbA1c levels in patients with CHD is closely related to the severity of coronary.
