Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression and significance of chemokine receptor 5 in peripheral blood CD4 + CD25 + CD127 - regulatory T cells on patients with gastric cancer and their relevant healthy controls. To explore its relationship with the occurrence, invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer. Methods Using flow cytometry technique(FCM) detection of the expression level of CCR5 in CD4 + CD25 + CD127 - regulatory T cells on 49 gastric cancer patients and 20 healthy controls peripheral blood and to study relationship of the expression level with clinical pathological parameters. SPSS19.0 was used for stastistical analyzing. T test and One-way ANOVA were used for measurement data. Linear regressssion and spearman test were used for association between groups. Results ( 1 ) The expression level of CCR5 in peripheral blood CD4 + CD25 + CD127 - regulatory T cells on gastric cancer patients were evidently higher than that under healthy controls, and the difference was significant; (2) The expression level of CCR5 in peripheral blood CD4 + CD25 + CD127 -regulatory T cells was not related with the age of patient, gender difference, tumor size, but was relevant to the histologic grade, clinical stage of the cancer and lymph node metastasis; (3) The expression level of CCR5 in peripheral blood CD4 + CD25 + CD127 - regulatory T cells was positively linear correlated with lymph node metastasis or pathological stage on gastric cancer, but not with the age of patient, gender difference, tumor size and histologic grade; (4) The expression level of CCR5 in peripheral blood CD4 + CD25 + CD127 - regulatory T cells was not correlated with the age of patient, gender difference, tumor size, but with pathological stage or lymph node metastasis. Conclusions The expression of CCR5 in CD4 + CD25 + CD127 - regulatory T cells may be relevant to tumor immunity, and may play an important role in the occurrence, invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer.
