TREATMENT ACCORDING TO DIFFERENTIATION FOR NON-INSULIN-DEPENDENT DIABETES MELLITUS

For non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus(NIDDM) in TCM,decompensation of body fluids,disturbance of spleen and stomach as well as deficiency of Kidney Qi are pathogenic factors.There are four types by differentiation of syndromes for NIDDM as follows:Heat excess in spleen and stomach,accumulation of dampness due to deficiency of Spleen Qi,stagnation of Liver Qi.The main therapeutic method:Clearing away heat of spleen and stomach,activating the stomach and strengthening the spleen,invigorating the Kidney Qi,clearing and regulating water passage,restoring the normal flow of the Liver Qi,etc.
