Abstract: | - 1.1. A brief review of the literature concerning the general aspects of diffuse tumor of the central nervous system, emphasizing principally those of lymphoid origin, is presented.
- 2.2. A case of diffuse lymphosarcomatosis involving the central nervous system with silent visceral involvement is reported.
- 3.3. The clinical and pathologic features of the case are discussed in relation to prevailing theories as to the nature of the nervous manifestations of these tumors.
- 4.4. Criteria for early diagnosis of diffuse malignancy of the central nervous system are presented.
