Abstract:bjective To provide reference and experiences for the development of brain-computer interface techniques in our country by revealing their creativity and competitiveness in patent literature. Methods The following parameters were analyzed using visualization analysis methods, such as patent bibliometrics and patent graph, including the development trend, life cycle, creativity, competitiveness, key distributions, main application institutions, key or core patents, hotspots in studies on global brain-computer interface techniques, and the sand table confrontation demonstration between People''s Republic of China and USA. Results The studies on global brain-computer interface techniques showed a gradual increasing trend and the global brain-computer interface techniques were still in a rapid development period. The number of patents recently applied by People''s Republic of China was the largest, but their quality, trans-formation of achievements, application and popularization should be further improved. Conclusion The creativity of brain-computer interface techniques is the highest, which takes a leading position in the development of global brain-computer interface techniques. The key hardware and software of brain-computer interface techniques should be broken through and the trans-formation of brain-computer interface techniques should be sped up in our country.
