Introspection is a common structural principle of human behavior.By introspection one can know the past in order to control his present behavior and predict the future.In web-based learning,where teachers and student are separated from each other,students learn by themselves with the help of learning resources and teachers' guidance.Therefore,it is especially important to "learn how to learn".This article discusses the concept of introspective learning and the necessity of providing students with introspective learning tools in web-based learning.It then introduces some introspective learning tools.
