摘    要:目的研究中药夏枯草对基质金属蛋白酶的抑制作用;探讨夏枯草的药物作用机制。方法用中药夏枯草提取液和基质金属蛋白酶-3,-13,-14和-16作用,用荧光法检测夏枯草提取液对基质金属蛋白酶活性的影响。结果夏枯草提取液抑制基质金属蛋白酶-3,-13,-14和-16的活性。结论夏枯草提取液可有效地抑制基质金属蛋白酶-3,-13,-14和-16。表明夏枯草的有效成分及其药物作用机制可能与其对基质金属蛋白酶的抑制有关。

Spica Prunellae (Xia Ku Cao) extracts inhibit matrix metalloproteinase activities

Abstract:Objective Aim Investigate whether the traditional Chinese medicinal herb Spica Prunellae inhibit matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activity and study the mechanism of this natural product. Methods Spica Prunellae was extracted with water and other organic reagents, the MMP activities were measured with fluorescent substrate in the presence and absence of the abstracts. Results Spica Prunellae extracts can effectively inhibit the activities of MMP-3 ,-13 ,-14, and -16. Conclusion The mechanism of action of Spica Prunellae may be involved with MMP inhibition, and these findings may aid the discovery of the active ingredients in this medical herb.
