Abstract: | ST segment shifts are reliable indicators of transient myocardial ischemia. Ambulatory ECG monitoring detects episodes of ST segment shift with and without chest pain in patients with coronary heart disease. Monitoring can provide valuable information on the presence and frequency of transient myocardial ischemia. Limited information is available on the use of ambulatory monitoring as a screening test, particularly in populations where the frequency of coronary heart disease is low. |
